The Indians are Asia's equivalent of the Italians. It is certainly fair to say that the Italians are the Indians of Europe, but I believe you understand what I mean. Food is music inside the body, and music is food inside the heart, according to them. The languages of India and Italy make every man a poet and create something beautiful from every banalite. They are nations where love - amore, pyaar - turns a Borsalino into a cavalier on a street corner and a peasant girl into a princess, if only for the second her eyes meet yours."
